Expedition Down Under
Guided active tour with some trekking
Tour
Overview
Australia is one of the most exciting as well as one of the most desirable holiday destinations for many Europeans. The infinite expanse of the ‘Fifth continent’ with its sparsely populated Outback regions, breathtaking rock formations and its own very unique flora and fauna make it a true paradise for nature lovers.
After spending a few exciting days in the pulsing metropolis of Sydney, we fly into the Red Centre. During an expedition through the Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park (UNESCO world heritage site) we will explore the famous red rock, whose mythology is deeply connected with the culture and legends of the indigenous people of this region.
Fragrant Eucalyptus forests, kangaroos and crocodiles await us, while a boat trip across the famous Mary River Billabong promises to leave lasting impressions.
An absolute highlight of this trip is a visit to Kakadu National Park – from our indigenous guide, we will learn about their local culture, bush foods and weapons.
The final stage of our adventure brings us to the hinterland and forests of tropical North Queensland. As well as exploring the world’s oldest rainforest, we take a snorkelling tour and discover the colourful coral gardens of the Great Barrier Reef.
